The Takoma Park Folk Festival strives to make the Festival's activities accessible to everyone. Please read the following information, because it might to make your day as enjoyable as possible.

Parking

On-site parking is reserved for performers and staff. We have a very limited number of handicap-accessible spaces, and they will likely be filled by noon. We cannot make exceptions after these spaces are filled.

Option 1. Drivers with handicap permits can drop off and pick up people near the front of the Festival, but they will need to park off-site.

Option 2. Off-site parking is available at Takoma Metro and the garage for Montgomery College-Takoma Park. Both lots are served by free shuttle buses to and from the Festival. We have been promised handicap-accessible buses for both routes. The ride is about 5 minutes, and drops off at the front of the Festival near to the food vendors.

Stages
The three stages inside the school are on the ground floor, and each have seating available (Abbott, Lenore Robinson/Dance, and World). One outside stage is easily accessible and on flat ground (Seventh Heaven). The other three outdoor stages (Grassy Nook, Grove, and Field) might require walking up or down small hills, and the grounds are sloped.
Music
Many performances will be supported by sign language interpretation. Look for the (hand) symbol on the performance grid to see what is being interpreted. TPFF is grateful to Sign Language Associates for donating the services of many talented sign language interpreters.
Restrooms
Two sets of restrooms inside the school are handicap-accessible. A port-a-john near the Crafts area is handicap-accessible and can be reached without using stairs.
