About Volunteering at the Festival...

This year's Takoma Park Folk Festival will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2007.

The Takoma Park Folk Festival has been an annual community event organized by volunteers since 1978. We are not part of any larger organization. We are a locally based, open committee. We invite the participation of all citizens to set policy and carry out the many tasks necessary to put on a one-day extravaganza each September.

Volunteers are welcomed to help on the day of the festival and also with pre-festival tasks. These tasks you can help us with include: publicity, programming, sound, food, logistics, construction, parking, hospitality, recycling, and fundraising. The Takoma Park Folk Festival is approved for student service learning.

The next TPFF 2007 committee meeting will be held
at the Takoma Park Community Center,
7500 Maple Avenue at the corner of Philadelphia Avenue (East-West Highway - MD 410)
