Dear Food Vendor:

I would like to invite you to apply to sell food at the 31th annual TPFF, which will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., rain or shine. The festival will be at Takoma Park Middle School, 7611 Piney Branch Road (at the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Grant Avenue, or one block north of MD 410).

I cannot assure you that your application will be accepted. We have a limited number of spaces and strive to offer a variety of food that will appeal to the families who attend our festival.

YOU MUST FILE TWO APPLICATIONS

1. Festival Application and Fees. The festival fee for all food vendors is $350. Complete the enclosed Festival application and return it to PO BOX 5869. Your application and at least $200 is due by June 16; if you do not respond by that date, we will assume you do not wish to participate this year. Please make checks payable to TPFF, Inc. Complete payment is due no later than August 1.

You will be notified early in July as to whether your application has been accepted. In the event it is not, your deposit will be promptly refunded.

If you cancel by August 15, your entire payment will be refunded. However, if you cancel after August 15 or fail to appear at the Festival, your fee is not refundable.

2. Temporary Permit from the Montgomery County Health & Human Services Department. After we notify you that you are accepted as a vendor, you must apply to Montgomery County for a temporary food permit. You can call them at 240-777-3986 or download the application at http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/content/hhs/license/tempfdappl.pdf. Fees payable to Montgomery County are listed on their Web site and application. There will be food inspectors on-site checking permits.
