Applications for performers for the 2008 Takoma Park Folk Festival are now closed. We will be posting the schedule and performer information in early summer.

In order to include as many different local performers as possible in the festival, we generally do not book a performer for more than two festivals in a row and we give preference to performers who reside in the local area (DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania) or have connections with this area.

Visitors to the Festival will enjoy music and dance from around the world on seven stages! Some performances are designed for audience participation, particularly our dance workshops and the activities surrounding our children's stage. Note that many performances are signed for the hearing-impaired.
