We're easy to find!

The Festival will be held at the Takoma Park Middle School, 7611 Piney Branch Road in Takoma Park, MD. This is one block north of Route 410 (Philadelphia Avenue). Remember, the Festival will take place on Sunday, September 12, 2010, from 11 am to 6:30 pm, rain or shine.

Getting to the Festival
By Metro & Shuttle Bus

The Takoma Station on the Red Line is about 3/4 mile from the Festival site. Free shuttle buses stop at the Metro Station and run continuously throughout the Festival.

If you choose to drive, FREE PARKING is available at the Montgomery College East Garage. Free Festival shuttle buses will stop at the garage's entrance on Fenton Street (near King Street). You may also park in any of the Montgomery College outdoor parking lots and catch the bus on Fenton Street (above Albany Avenue) or on Philadelphia Avenue (at Takoma Avenue).

On-street parking is available throughout the neighborhood. However, please read and observe all posted signs about parking. Last year, Montgomery County Police ticketed cars that were parked illegally.

Free Shuttle Bus

The FREE Festival shuttle buses will run between the Festival and the Takoma Metro Station and the Montgomery College parking garage througout the day.

TPFF Free Shuttle Bus Route illustration Two free shuttle buses will run from the Takoma Metro station directly to the Festival throughout the day. Shuttles will pick up passengers at the Kiss and Ride area (point A on the map).

A free shuttle bus will run from Montgomery College East Garage to the Festival throughout the day. Pickup will be at the entrance to the garage on Fenton Street, near King Street, (point B on the map).

NOTICE: Even if the Takoma Metro is closed on Festival Day, the Festival's free shuttles will be running from the Takoma Metro parking lot. The Festival's shuttles will not go to another Metro station.

Walk from Metro or Parking

You can walk from either the Takoma Metro Station or Festival Parking in less than half an hour following the routes on this map. The total distance in each case is about 3/4 mile.

From Parking
  • cross Fenton St. and walk one block on Islington St.
  • turn left on Chicago Ave. and walk one short block
  • turn right on Philadelphia Ave. (Hwy 410) and walk two long blocks and one very short block
  • turn left at Piney Branch where it's one long block to the festival.

    From Takoma Metro

  • cross the parking lot and walk left on Eastern Ave. one block
  • turn right on Holly Ave. and walk a couple of very long blocks
  • turn left on Grant Ave. to the festival.

  • Bike to the Festival

    A bicycle is a great way to get to the festival. There are permanent bike racks at the site, and extra racks are available in the parking lot (see the site map).
